this time-tested design with the addition
of a high-strength Compression Lock
mechanism and a four-position pocket clip
that supports all possible carry preferences.
This Salt Series expression the Military
2 raises the bar yet again by expressing
it with state-of-the-art, ultra-corrosion-
resistant materials. Its full-flat-ground,
satin-finished blade is crafted from CPM
MagnaCut—a revolutionary particle metallurgy
steel that offers an incredible balance of edge
retention, toughness, and extreme corrosion resistance. The
blade is paired with an easy-to-clean, open-backed handle featuring
G-10 scales, nested, skeletonized stainless steel liners, and Spyderco’s
signature Compression Lock mechanism. To guarantee a secure grip,
even with wet hands, the scales are painstakingly machined with a
Caribbean Bi-Directional Texture pattern. This high-traction pattern
also reveals their alternating black and yellow layers to enhance the
knife’s visibility in and around the water. A four-position pocket clip
provides a choice of left- or right-side, tip-up or tip-down carry and is
complemented by a generously sized lanyard hole.
