This is my first Al Mar design I get my hands on, but this folder is made in China and there are some differences with the USA line of Kershaw. The blade doesn't align perfectly when folded, the framelock is hard to attain and push back, can't use the thumb openers (too small) and the 'Speedsafe' mechanism is rather on the 'speed' side than the 'safe'; you only need around 1.3 to 1.5 kg of pressure to open. This one came with a very detailed leaflet from Kershaw (China & USA) and made me realize that accidental opening of this assisted knife must be prevented; clip configuration only allows for safe pocket carry on a limited number of options. Not safe for deep or loose pocket; a case would be useful. Otherwise a very good looking knife at this price range.
