Heavy but still pocketable. This knife cuts like a cold wind in January, at least the way January used to be. A survival knife par non other for its size. The safety pin lock out, when attached to a short lanyard (I used elastic hair ties) not only keeps the pin handy, but adds greatly to safe handling by inserting the pin in the hole and wrapping the cord around the hand... And that safety pin "extra lock" comes in handy if ever needed for chopping. If you ever thought of buying a Medford...this knife makes more sense.
