I do not recommend this knife.... when I received this knife the wood handle was in such a dried and unfinished state that splinters were raised from the the wood.the bottom of the wood handle was also roughly finished.....hard to say if the dryness of the wood caused it to be this way....over all it is hard to say if the handle was originally nicely finished or not.....very disappointed for a $100+ knife
