So after some time using the cold steel bowie I've given it 4 stars. It is a solid knife and the handle itself can be useful for things it has a few flaws. The factory edge was useless... literally useless..the edge was about the same as what you would get with a super cheap knife of unknown origin. Looks like they ised a rough belt grinder at a steep enough angle to resemble a cold metal chisle. Also the handle is a bit small and the handle scales are pretty shoddy. Overall it is a good knife and with some love I have no doubt it will hold up. But if cold steel is listen that is in no way acceptable sharpening.
