First up; customer service. I had contacted Blades Canada about the packaging requirement for this knife because it was for a 65'th birthday/retirement gift. The retail packaging and subsequent shipping packaging was excellent. Thank you Blades Canada! Now the knife; the fit, finish, centering and lockup is excellent. The feel in hand is solid and possess a bit of heft. Very solid feel. The handle provides a good secure grip with the G10 scale. The blade length and deep belly provides a very good cutting edge without knuckle contact. The grind is good but thins out on one side of the blade towards the pivot. I will touch that up. The detent is robust but once overcome, the blade snaps quickly and securely open. I anticipate that all of this will break in and prove to have some fun fidget factor. The framelock is about 50% and very solid. No concerns with safety. Overall this is a very quality build and one that I am pleased with. (I just wish my wife would let me buy another one for myself) Too bad this is a discontinued model because they will not be around much longer. If you are seeking a good solid knife as a collector or everyday workhorse, you will not go wrong with this one. Once again; thank you so very much Blades Canada!
