Conceived originally as a full-sized belt knife under the name Woodscraft Tanto, the design was developed to challenge the belief that a tanto blade lacks versatility in field environments. After the success of the Woodscraft Chanto, the platform was intentionally scaled down, creating a more compact, mission-ready companion suited for EDC roles.

Through extensive prototype evaluation and real-world use, the Devil Horn proved itself as more than just a downsized wilderness tool.
