I was so excited to receive this kukri. Upon arrival it felt high quality and looks well built and I was very happy to upgrade to a higher grade steel kukri. Me and my sons went out into the woods and attempted to build a shelter and fire. Not even one hour into our day a huge chunk broke off the blade just simply by trying to chop a piece of wood in half. My $45 (440 stainless) kukri I bought 13 years ago and I attempted to upgrade that still works great had to be brought out to complete the job. After this cheap low grade garbage broke almost immediately. I am very pissed off that the first time I spend good money on something supposedly high grade and it breaks right away and fails to outperform the cheap low grade version. I would not recommend Honshu products if you plan to actually use the blade.
