Its full-tang, 1/4" 1095 high carbon steel is strong and easy to resharpen when needed. That’s a must in the field. The sandwiched Micarta handles are meant to fill the hand like an ax handle. Micarta was chosen for its strength and grip, even when wet. Finally, it comes with a tan Kydex sheath to provide great retention, carry-ability, and ease of access to the knife.
