The Smock has become one of my fav Spydercos. In my opinion it’s perfect out of the box without need to alter scales, pocket clip or removing second detent ball. The hollow grind s30v blade is super with its reverse tanto shape & cutting geometry. It fits my hand (mens medium) well offering various grips & of course multiple deployment options. A bit on the heavier side but seems to fit the feel of the knife. Yes it compares to my Benchmade 940 with its slim profile too & both are classics for me.
