Wave function makes for rapid deployment and hours of entertainment. Delica size is large enough to get a sturdy grip in your hands and small enough not to be awkward. My logic is if it is too big you might think twice about packing it around. Spyderco's have no tiny springs to break while being deployed. I use all my pocket knives for fishing and small game, office work, handyman stuff, yardwork. I am very happy with this kinfe.
