A scaled-down expression of our iconic Native® 5 Lightweight, the Lil’ Native® Lightweight proudly delivers all the same features and benefits in a compact, pocket-friendly format. This elite Sprint Run® edition elevates the design even further with a full-flat-ground blade made from CPM 15V. Containing almost 15 percent vanadium, its remarkable alloy composition produces an exceptionally high volume of ultra-hard vanadium carbides and gives it the highest wear resistance of any cold-work tool steel available today. To successfully translate these properties to knife blades, Spyderco’s CPM 15V knives are also hardened and tempered using a specialized protocol developed by custom knifemaker Shawn Houston. In honor of Houston’s contributions, the fiberglass-reinforced nylon (FRN) handle of this limited-edition Lil’ Native Lightweight is injection molded in a distinctive brown color. The blade also features his signature “Triple B” logo laser engraved on the reverse side.
