For those who prefer the discreet aesthetics of an all-black knife, this version lowers its profile with a black-coated blade and handle hardware. Its full-flat-ground 8Cr13MoV stainless steel blade is cloaked in a non-reflective black oxide coating and rides on ball bearing washers for a butter-smooth action. The blade is paired with a lightweight, easy-to-clean, open-backed handle constructed with smooth black G-10 scales. The reverse-side scale houses a single nested stainless steel liner that forms the basis of the knife’s LinerLock mechanism. To complement the blade, the knife’s liner, reversible deep-pocket wire clip, and all other handle hardware also sport durable black coatings.
