Since its introdutction in 1987, the Harpy has been a mainstay of the Spyderco product line. Although it has been produced in a number of different variations and edge configurations, in recent years, the version featuring a riveted stainless steel handle and fully serrated SpyderEdge has emerged as the most iconic. The latest expression of this venerable design redefines its form by introducing screw together construction and the return of a Plain Edge cutting edge option. Crafted from VG-10 stainless Steel, its hollow-ground blade still offers the relentless cutting dynamics of a hawkbill profile. Like an animal's claw, it has the ability to peirce and cut in a single motion. Its concave edge also “gathers” the material being cut, making it the ideal tool for cutting rope and netting. To support all carry preferences, its satin-finished stainless steel handle includes a four-position pocket clip and a generously sized lanyard hole. For sailors, its handle also features a handy shackle key drying slot.
