Received this knife the other day,opened it up and checked it out.First off the blade centering was off so I attempted to correct it,the pivot screws (yes screws)not a cative pivot must have been loctited as they were very tight.A few minutes of hair dryer heat loosened it up.Got it to center without too much playing around.Next issue the micarta scales looked pretty clean when I opened it up but after just handling the knife for a little while stained and smudged from the oil off my hands,not real impressed withe the look. I have other micarta folders and they are different have a sealant over the micarta to prevent this stained look on the scales. If you run into this look online there is forums that will tell you how to clean up the scales and seal them. Other than that it,s a liner lock that works fine and the blade @3.5 in is a sandvik steel 12c27n which is what drew me to this knife. The knife itself is a nice knife just not happy with this micarta but I will take the steps to clean the scales and seal them up.Buyer beware Micartas are not all the same.
