Incredible knife. In the month I've had it I cut down a medium-sized pine tree, batonned through dozens of logs, opened tin cans, destroyed a plastic bicycle to retreive some straps, broke ice with the skull crusher, made feather sticks, sharpened carpentry pencils and more. This knife is good at everything but excels in destruction jobs and hard use. It is not your delicate slicer, don't expect to have photo-quality feather sticks, but it does the job, whatever it is, and will ask for more. I'm looking for stuff to destroy because the knife works so well. The edge will roll, as it is intended to roll rather than chip when put under stress. I emailed Esee about it and Patrick Rollins himself answered with sharpening advice (diamond hone then strop). I brought it back to razor sharp, even as a sharpening novice. It will not hold an edge through all the uses I have enumerated, however with a little reading and some practice it is really easy to maintain sharp. I use DMT mini diamond hones (blue and green) in the field, and a DC4 and CC4 at home. As a final point, their warranty is no-questions asked lifetime; you could find one in the brush, break it on purpose and they would send you a new one. Don't, obviously, but it shows what kind of hard-working, honest company Esee is. All made in USA as well, which is highly important in my humble opinion. If you're on the fence and you can afford it, BUY THIS KNIFE.
