My first disappointment with these guys. I gave this 2 stars simply because the advertised weight is an issue. First off lets be clear about axe weights. It is about axe head weights. This one doesn't come close to the 2.9+ lbs advertised. I doubt the whole axe weighs this much. The supplied picture, most likely the same as the specs came from the supplier. Unfortunately, we don't get access to the monkey who gave them the info. This weight may be ok in the hands of a kid learning from a parent.
