Cold Steel Tiger Karambit Fixed Blade Knife, AUS 8A, Secure-Ex Sheath, 49KST

I just received this knife and its a beauty. Very well ground and perfectly symmetrical blade. AUS8 steel and made in Taiwan, which is fine as Taiwan cutlery is known for decent quality. I have had Taiwanese blades before and they were amazing. Sheath is very nice and very tight against the body for concealment if necessary. The point is perfect and quite a wicked sight to see. The knife feels very light and well balanced, and is easy to flip back and forth. One point worth mentioning. I have medium sized hands, and I find the handle is a little slim for my taste. I have the Boker Magnum Spike and although the handle is larger and flatter, it feels more secure in my hand, because it fills the palm of the hand more. This is still a very secure knife in your hand because of the kraton handle, but if my hands were any larger, I would find this knife a bit awkward. That's just my personal opinion, based on years of martial arts training and knife designing and collecting. Personally, I would like to see the handle about a quarter inch wider, and I think it would feel more secure in my hand. Overall, I am very satisfied with this knife, especially for the price, since I have seen versions going for $100 more on some websites. Cold Steel makes some wicked fighting knives and this is definitely up to their usual standard. 4 stars is only because of my comment on the handle. Other than that, its a great knife.
