I was in need of a cane for evening walks and this was the cheapest one I found that didn't look too "weapony". It certainly has some weight to it but functions very well as a walking aid, and would do nicely at keeping Big-Foot at "canes length" if ever he should show up. I put a 1" rubber cane tip on it, even though some seem to think it needs to be bigger but 1 inch fits perfectly.
