This for me comes in as nearly a perfect folding beater knife. I’m not a big CS fanboy, but admittedly, they make a few models in their lineup which are good pieces in any comparison. The AD-10 at least for me, is one of those. It can be used hard and live up to the utility it is intended for. The handle grip on this one is one of the best I’ve felt on a CS folder so that’s partly why this knife is great for hard woodwork in the bush, or can be decent at more fine, detailed work as well. The blade steel keeps an edge well enough to satisfy me for the extended sharpening intervals. It takes well to stropping so no need to break the stones out too often. The action is great on this, especially for a knife of this size. The blade is no featherweight, yet is easy to get it fired open in an aggressive fashion if needed. And the lock, well is arguably the strongest on any production folder. CS hit a home run with this model. It’s decent quality, yet not beyond with its cost where you would be afraid to use it and put it through hard paces. It works, it keeps its sharp form for a good while and is just one of those robust tools ya wanna use and are comfortable doing so. Hard to beat all those attributes, especially at this price point. As always, shipping from Blades Canada was perfect and too was the whole transaction process. Fantastic people and great store to deal with for online shopping. Definitely recommended.
